EASTER presents Leigh Centurions with a golden opportunity to make a Championship statement.
Ian Millward’s side host Barrow Raiders today, kick off 12 noon, then travel to league leaders Featherstone on Monday.
It is the most testing period of the season to date but one the Leigh head coach is hoping his players can take in their stride.
“The reason we are going so well is because everyone is working really hard together,”
Millward said.
“The forwards have been going great, the outside backs have contributed. The reason we are playing well is because all 17 are trying to play to the best of their ability. We want the players to continue with their good attitude and the fans were really good too.”
Leigh go into the Barrow game without Tom Armstrong and Lee Mitchell. The dual contract pair are not available with Armstrong suffering a groin problem and Mitchell off on-loan to Harlequins for a month.
But Rhys Evans, the 19- year-old threequarter who was signed signed on a dual contract registration from Warrington Wolves this week, is available.
