LEIGH Centurions stretched their winning run to 10 games with a sixtry victory at Halifax.
Last season’s champions met this season’s front runners and at half-time there was nothing to choose between the teams with the game locked at 10- 10.
The Centurions dominated the opening stages of the game and Jamie Ellis claimed his 11th try of the season after John Duffy and Chris Hill did all the running. Mick Nanyn hit the first of four goals, then Steve Maden passed for Stuart Littler to crash over by the corner flag.
After the break Leigh grabbed their third try when Chris Hill took a Mick Govin pass at pace to go over by the posts before Maden, twice, and Littler ran in three tries in 10 minutes to seal the points.
