Leigh Centurions went on another high-scoring rampage in the Kingstone Press Championship but the 11-try success came at a cost as prop Tom Spencer suffered a suspected ACL injury during the last few minutes.

The Centurions had scored three tries in the opening 40 minutes.

First Sam Barlow burst through the line to score and then Liam Kay touched down and Martin Ridyard ensured they were leading 16-0 at the break.

The second half saw Leigh spark into action and four tries in a 10- minute spell took the game away from the hosts.

The deluge began after 45 minutes when Ryan Brierley fired the pass to Tom Armstrong and he raced through from 20 metres.

Debutant Michael Platt escaped from the defence before firing the pass for  Brierley to get his 36th try of the year.

Kurt Haggerty then turned provider with an inviting grubber kick to the corner and Platt bagged his first try for the club.

Gregg McNally linked up with Platt and Brierley to get the next try before Armstrong scored his second.

In a one-sided second half, Leigh kept the firepower coming and Sean Penkywicz did well to set up Anthony Bate his first try of the season.

Swinton took advantage of Spencer's injury with Mick Nanyn making it 56-6 but Adam Higson had the final say with a try and Ridyard ended with a 22-point haul.
