MARK Swannell was the leading Burnden runner at the Blackleach 5-Mile mixed terrain race in Walkden, finishing fourth overall and third in the M40 age group in 30mins 36secs.
There were also superb performances which saw a clutch of age-group successes.
Steve Nolan was first M55 and seventh overall in 31:19, while Lee White took the M45 category in 16th overall with 32:28.
Keith Thomas was first M60 with a time of 34:12 and Phil Glassbrook took the M70 prize with 43:54.
Gwen Kinloch was first F55 in 36:02 and Lyndsay Darbyshire came first F50 in 36:27 to complete six age-group victories for the club.
Paula Pilling was the first female Burnden member to finish, the third female finisher overall and second F40 in 35:16.
Marcus Taylor was 17th overall and second M45 in 32:36, while Martyn Pollitt was third M55 in 33:18.
Isaline Pollitt secured second F50 with her time of 38:48 and there were second places too for Jane Forrest in the F55 category with 42:25 and Lucille Corrigan in the F45 class with 40:06.
Mumtaz Patel was third F40 in 40:01 and Katy Thompson third F45 in 40:13.

David Morrison led home a trio of members at the Hades Hill Fell race.
He completed the five-mile course, which involves just under 1,200 feet of climbing, in 1:01:03. Emma Walker and Louise Fox finished together in 1:13:54 and 1:13:55 respectively.
Lorraine Halwood ran her first standard distance triathlon at the Handepay St Helens Tri.
She completed the1500m swim in 36:29 and covered the 40K bike course with some gruelling hills in just under two hours before clocking 52:36 for the 10K run, giving her a total time of 3:38:56, ninth overall in the women’s race.
