RADCLIFFE Borough director of football Gerry Luczka has hailed the work being done behind the scenes to guarantee the long term success of the club in the build up to their UniBond Division One North clash against high-flyers FC Halifax Town.
The Stainton Park men will give 24-year-old Bolton-based midfielder Mark Drew, who signed for Boro last week, his debut.
Luczka has ordered his side to go in search of goals as they bid to bounce back from four consecutive league defeats. But, regardless of recent results, he believes the efforts of chairman Bernard Manning, chief executive David Murgatroyd, and manager Kevin Glendon would safeguard the club for the next two decades.
He said: “The right structures are beginning to be put in place behind the scenes, which is very encouraging. We’re making sure we are fully operational next season.”
FC United manager Karl Marginson is anticipating a tough battle against high-flying Marine.
Marine are currently third in the UniBond Premier League and, like FC, have not played since the first weekend of December. Marginson said: “Marine are a quality side and have been up near the top of the table all season so they will pose a stern test.”
