RADCLIFFE Borough bid to put the disappointment of their FA Trophy exit at the hands of FC United behind them when they face Unibond Division One North rivals Trafford at Stainton Park in the Manchester Cup on Tuesday night, kick-off 7.45pm.
Boro, who are the Manchester Cup holders, were beaten 1-0 with the last kick of the game by the Rebels on Saturday, but former FC keeper Phil Priestley had been in outstanding form at Gigg Lane to prevent his old team from scoring until the dying seconds of injury time.
United’s reward for the last-gasp victory – courtesy of Adam Turner’s 94th-minute winner – is a trip to fellow UniBond Premier League outfit Worksop Town in the second qualifying round on Saturday, November 1.
