Radcliffe Borough 2 Hyde United 1
RADCLIFFE Borough fought a brilliant rearguard action to stun the Blue Square North club and win the Manchester Cup.
Boro took the lead on four minutes at Oldham Athletic's Boundary Park when Hyde's Andy Teague bundled the ball into his own net from Tony Whealing's superbly-flighted cross.
Hyde dominated the second half, and it took several excellent saves from Phil Priestly and some last-ditch defending from Craig Dawson to keep the Manchester side out.
Peter Coyne's side miraculously claimed a two-goal cushion a minute from time courtesy of Griff Jones and, though former Bury striker Gareth Seddon pulled one back with the last kick of the game, it was the men in blue who lifted the cup.
