WHITBY TOWN 3 RADCLIFFE BOROUGH 2

RADCLIFFE Borough manager Andy Johnston reckons individual mistakes were once again to blame after his side twice gave away the lead, before conceding in the last minute of injury time to cap a miserable day.

Striker Jamie Miller had twice given Boro the lead, only for Whitby's Lee Nogan to cancel them both out with long-range efforts. And struggling Boro's woes were complete when Tom Raw netted in injury-time to hand his side the points.

"We played well for the first hour," said Johnston. "However, poor defending let us down once again and we were at fault for all three of their goals.

"It's the same story every week and it's always different individuals. (Goalkeeper) Tim Dittmer should have done better with a couple of the goals and he knows that but I also know that he is a very good keeper and I'm not going to rush out and get a new keeper just because he has made a couple of mistakes.

"When you score two goals away from home you expect a point at the very least. We know we have a lot to do now to be safe, but we will keep going until it is mathematically impossible.

"If we can get it right at both ends over 90 minutes, we will move forward very quickly. We have 14 days off now before two very big games in the space of four days and I am asking the players to stay focused and positive."
