THE Bolton Cricket League won the area Under-18s Inter-league competition in style with a 10-wicket victory over the Pennine League in the final on Sunday.
It marked the last-ever match for the Pennine League which was formed two years ago by the merging of the Saddleworth and Central Lancashire leagues but has folded after losing its clubs to other leagues.
The Bolton League dominated throughout at Westhoughton Cricket Club as they whittled the visitors out for 101 (captain Lewis Haydock 4-27, Will Shuttleworth 3-23) before openers Matthew Morris (48) and Joe Baldwin (32) knocked off the required runs in just under 19 overs.
