MAJID Majeed is leaving Adlington at the end of the season after serving the club for nine years as professional.
The Bolton League Association Division club failed to agree terms with their long-time paid man for next season leading to an amicable split between the two parties.
All-rounder Majeed is currently looking for new employment and would prefer a job in either the Bolton League or the Greater Manchester League while Adlington are searching for a new professional.
Club chairman Nick Chamberlain feels whoever recruits Majeed will be getting a top pro and is disappointed terms could not be agreed.
"It's very sad," he said. "Batting and bowling he's a very good player, he's taken more than 100 wickets this season and he's well into 600 runs in all competitions and regularly been one of the top professionals in the Bolton Association and Bolton League.
"It's just a question of terms could not be agreed. I am sure he will get another job in the Bolton League or beyond and we wish him well for the future.
"We are looking for a replacement and if anyone would like to be interviewed for the post we would welcome any enquiries."
