Lostockers headed to Lytham St Annes to join 1,361 runners for the annual Windmill Remembrance Sunday 10k last weekend.

The race starts on Lytham Green with a two-minute silence at 11am to remember and honour fallen heroes.

The race then follows a scenic route along the coast towards Fairhaven, before completing a U-turn and concluding at the Lytham Windmill.

Finishers are presented with a bespoke medal that is a fitting tribute to honour the bravery of servicemen and women.

Johanna McManus was the first Lostock AC member across the finish line in 47mins 19.10secs. She was the 32nd lady out of 716.

McManus was shortly followed by Mel Goodall, in 49:30.27, achieving fourth in her age category.

Mark Checkley travelled to Broughton Mills to compete in the Dunnerdale Fell race.

This is short race covers just five miles, but it was still tough covering an epic 1,900 feet of elevation gain. The race covers the rugged fells between the Lickle and the Duddon valleys and is a beautiful, but tough, course with varied terrain.

Checkley had a fantastic time, stopping to take photographs and enjoying the scenery, and he finished in 1:21.26.
