Wanderers will be looking to back up their late heroics against Peterborough with a positive result at Stevenage as the games keep coming thick and fast in League One.

Ian Evatt’s men secured an important three points against Posh at the weekend after Klaidi Lolos bundled home with virtually the final kick.

That result leaves the Whites ninth in the table, only a couple of points off the play-off places with a game in hand on Huddersfield and Wrexham.

Team news

Kyle Dempsey will see a consultant over his knee injury to determine whether the midfielder needs a surgical procedure.

Dempsey came off at half time against Birmingham and was absent from the squad that beat Peterborough over the weekend.

Nathan Baxter is close to a return and could make the squad at Stevenage or against Walsall in the FA Cup this weekend.

The goalkeeper has not featured since picking up a thigh problem at Northampton earlier this month.

As for the hosts, skipper Carl Piergianni is back from suspension but Louis Thompson is an injury doubt.

Opposition lowdown

Stevenage currently sit 15th in the table, having won five and lost six of their 13 matches so far this term.

Alex Revell was named permanent boss over the summer following a spell in interim charge after Steve Evans left for Rotherham.

Revell’s side enter the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat against the Millers after goals from Jordan Hugill and Mallik Wilks.

Head-to-head

Wanderers have only faced Stevenage four times in competitive fixtures, with a record of three wins and a draw.

The points were shared at the Lamex Stadium last season following a goalless draw. Will Forrester thought he had broken the deadlock but the defender's header crashed off the woodwork.

Bolton recorded a 3-2 victory at the Toughsheet Community Stadium several months prior thanks to goals from Dion Charles, Jack Iredale and Josh Sheehan.
