CRAWLEY Town could be managerless by the time they face Wanderers on Saturday lunchtime.

Scott Lindsey is set to be named as the new boss of League Two MK Dons, leaving the newly promoted Reds looking for a new man in charge.

Lindsey has been lauded as Crawley’s ‘greatest-ever’ manager after leading the club to an unlikely promotion last season, beating MK Dons in the play-off final.

The 52-year-old former Swindon Town coach held talks with at the weekend and is in-line to replace Mike Williamson, who recently joined Carlisle United.

Crawley could hand a debut to new signing Bejamin Tanimu, who is now available after signing from Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars.

The centre-half was on international duty with Nigeria at the start of the month when his move went through but could now make a first appearance in a Reds squad which is missing the influential Dion Conroy.

"Coming to England is a big start for me,” said Tanimu, who has three caps for his country. “It came as a shock because I wasn’t expecting to come to England.

"Joining a new family, I will do my best for the fans to love me.”
