Ian Evatt will have Saturday’s trip to Crawley in mind when picking a side to start against Arsenal at the Emirates.
The Whites will be keen to get more points on the board in League One following an emphatic win against Reading.
But before that, there is a chance to test themselves against one of the best sides in European football.
Evatt is aiming to find a healthy balance to keep his squad fresh and “energetic” for both games in a busy week.
“They will all expect to play but from my perspective, we have a squad of players who are trusted,” the manager explained.
“Whoever gets selected, we expect them to go out and execute a good performance.
“As daft as it sounds, I think everyone is in agreement that Crawley on Saturday is more important and we will make sure we have players fit, available and energetic for both games.
“Whatever team I pick on Wednesday is obviously making sure that we can rest, recover and get ready for a big game at Crawley.”
Former Arsenal youngster Jordi Osei-Tutu, pictured, will not be involved as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
Wanderers enter the tie in a positive mood after hitting five past Reading to return to winning ways in the league.
Evatt insists they must keep their feet on the ground after good results, just as they shouldn’t get too low when things are not going to plan.
“It is a football season isn’t it? You have ebbs and flows, highs and lows,” he added.
“Things can turn pretty quickly either way and you just have to keep level, grounded and focus your energy and where it needs to be. That is on working hard and striving for improvement every single day.
“Saturday doesn’t mean we are back or brilliant again, and likewise when you lose games it doesn’t mean you are the worst team in the world either.
“You have to find an equilibrium and stay level-headed, and I think we are managing to do that. It was pleasing to see us back to what we know best.”
