The Buff is back again to review a dramatic week at Bolton Wanderers on and off the pitch.
After the dismal 4-0 home defeat to Huddersfield Town, Ian Evatt could not say for certain whether he would be in charge again for the following weekend’s game against Reading.
But after conversations with the Bolton board, he has been given time to turn around the poor early season form which has landed the Whites in the relegation zone.
The uncertainty has not stopped there, however, and though the manager is staying put for the time being, coach Matt Craddock will be leaving the club. Strong rumours about a change in captaincy have also circled the club and debate about Bolton’s style of play is now the fiercest it has ever been.
If only there was a weekly podcast that sifts through all the week’s talking points, headlines and gossip, to put fans in the perfect mood for matchday. Oh wait, that’s us!
Marc Iles and Henry Hewitt give their views on everything that has happened since the Huddersfield palaver, predict what might happen this weekend against Reading and even dare look further ahead to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.
We also read out some of the many emails we received this week, plus a round of Gavin McCann/Gavin McCan’t by way of a refresher.
It's first, not last... A grown up Bolton Wanderers podcast.
