Ladybridge FC’s junior section continues to thrive but needs support to fund kits for its teams.

One of the Lostock club’s teams is Bayern Ladybridge under-eights, who compete in the Bolton Bury and District Football League and have come a long way since some heavy losses in their first season.

The youngsters worked hard to get their first win with a 6-0 victory later in the season and ended the campaign with four wins, one draw and one loss in their final six league games and went to the knockout cup final, narrowly missing out losing 1-0.

They have started out well this new season with a 4-0 win and a 5-4 loss and continue to train and work hard and improve.

But like all the young teams at Ladybridge, they are in need of a team sponsor.

Alongside improving the players are growing and a new kit and training equipment is required.

Wilkinson, who is a volunteer coach, said “At Ladybridge FC, we’re proud to support children’s participation in grassroots football, and have done so since 1989.

“Our kids enjoy all the benefits of being part of a team, keeping active and emulating their heroes.

“As a non-profit organisation, we rely heavily on sponsorship and volunteers to keep the doors open. We have waiting lists with children who are desperate to join our club - allowing them to participate is a priority of ours, but we need team sponsors.

“Options cost £310 for 10 kits with company branding or £650 with the extra of 10 branded training jackets.”
