Former Wanderer Mo Faal is back in non-league following a brief stint at League One club Crawley Town.
Faal was handed a second chance in the EFL over the summer but failed to make a competitive appearance at the Broadfield Stadium.
He has now headed to Worthing for an undisclosed fee and made his debut against former club Havant and Waterlooville in the FA Cup over the weekend.
“Since the summer, me and Aggy (Chris Agutter) have been talking. For one reason or another, it didn’t work out,” he told the club channels.
“I went to Crawley and things didn’t work out there for some other reasons. Me and Aggy talk all the time and it was one of those things where he checked in, I let him know the situation.
“It gone done quite quickly, within a couple of days, and I am happy to be here. I think I have flirted with the club and the club has flirted with me for a while.
“I have had a good welcome. I was kind of thrown in straight in and I am learning as I am playing.
“That is one thing to deal with but as the game went on, I started to understand how we play. I can only get better once I start training with the lads more and play more games.”
Faal initially made the step up from non-league football to join Bolton in 2020 after catching the eye while playing for Enfield Town.
Meanwhile, Regan Riley, another former Wanderer, has joined Radcliffe following his departure from Norwich.
The 21-year-old midfielder progressed through the Whites’ youth ranks and went on to make a handful of first-team appearances.
He headed to Norwich in the summer of 2021 and featured regularly for the Canaries’ Under-21 side.
Radcliffe are still searching for their first win in the National League North after winning the NPL Premier Division last term.
