THE Bolton Wanderers Supporters Trust have thanked Neil Hart for his “significant” achievements during his three-year stay as chief executive.
Hart was yesterday confirmed as the new CEO of League Two side MK Dons but had previously had a close working relationship with the trust, which included regular dialogue and partnerships on several projects, including the Fanzone.
After it was announced by Wanderers at the end of last week that he was to leave his post, the trust issued a statement to their members.
“As a trust we are saddened by Neil’s announcement but would like to take this opportunity to place on record our gratitude to Neil for everything he has contributed to Bolton Wanderers,” the message read.
“Since his appointment to the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2021, Neil has led so much of the recovery and growth of Bolton Wanderers to what it is today. The relationship Neil, his team and the trust now have is the strongest it has ever been, repairing a relationship with us all as fans that was broken under the previous ownership.
“The achievements are significant.
“Starting with the signing of a memorandum of understanding that paved the way for informal monthly meetings, formal quarterly meetings, and many ad hoc discussions in between; to the creation of the fanzone we have today, season ticket pricing and early bird discounts, kit choices, supporting work to enhance our disabled fans matchday experience, the list is endless.
“Under his leadership, as Bolton Wanderers fans we have a voice in the Club. Neil goes with our grateful thanks and very best wishes for the future.”
Hart joins MK Dons shortly after the change in ownership from Pete Winkelman to Fahad Al Ghanim, the figurehead of a Kuwait-based consortium working across banking, investment, automotive and real estate which also operates the football team, Kuwait SC.
