A 15-year-old from Bolton Golf Club triumphed at the Lancashire Union of Golf Clubs Junior Girls 36 Hole Trophy on July 7.
Ruby Wigley took home the net prize with a score of 135 across two rounds at Hindley Hall Golf Club, showing off her golfing prowess honed from 2019 when she joined the club.
Ruby's older brother, Alex, led the club as junior captain in previous years.
Ruby herself, the current junior captain, plays at a handicap of 11.8, and her love for competitive golf is evident.
Club's lady captain Vivien Rink heaped praises on the talented youngster.
She said: "We are so proud of Ruby and she is part of our junior programme promoting golf for youngsters at Bolton Golf Club as it teaches them so much about life and of course gets them out in the fresh air and plenty of exercise.
"She did so well in this competition playing against junior girls from all over Lancashire including prestigious clubs such as Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham & St Annes."
Bolton Golf Club encourages more young people to consider golf, highlighting how it fosters life skills and promotes a healthy lifestyle.
