Bury have announced the signing of midfielder Josh Gregory from Prescot Cables.
Gregory started out at Wigan Athletic and went on to have spells with Chorley, Clitheroe and Witton Albion before heading to Prescot.
The 26-year-old is currently recovering from a knee operation but Dave McNabb believes he can be a "huge asset" for the Shakers once he is back to full fitness.
McNabb told the club website: “An extremely talented midfielder who can do it all, he's excellent technically and always happy to receive the ball under any situation. His technical ability allows him to be the heartbeat of the team.
"Josh is also excellent out of possession, both in terms of his positioning to intercept and his tenacity and aggression to press and tackle to win the ball back."
Earlier this week, Bury also bolstered their midfield options with the addition of Brad Carroll from Lancaster City.
