Wanderers have already reached 15,000 tickets sold for the upcoming play-off final against Oxford at Wembley.

Tickets went on sale to season ticket holders on Thursday and supporters have already snapped up more than 40 per cent of their 36,550 allocation for the big match on Saturday, May 18.

The club confirmed the early milestone in a message on its official website and thanked fans for their “magnificent” support.

The second phase begins at 10am on Saturday, May 11 and club members who are not season ticket holders will be able to book their seats.

The third and final phase runs from 10am on Monday, May 13 where anyone with a registered account from May 7 will be able to order tickets.

There are six separate categories for ticket prices, starting from £31 for adults, £23.25 for 17-21s, and £15.50 for over-65s and under-16s. The highest category is priced at £86 for adults, £64.50 for 17-21s, and £43 for over-65s and under-16s.

Ian Evatt’s men reached the final following a 5-4 aggregate victory against Barnsley, with Dion Charles, Randell Williams, Aaron Collins and Eoin Toal all on target.

Meanwhile, Oxford edged past Peterborough over two legs thanks to goals from Elliott Moore and Cameron Brannagan.

The U’s are also making good progress with their ticket sales, having reached the 10,000 mark on Thursday evening, and it looks set to be a big atmosphere with the final promotion spot on the line.

Wanderers will be hoping their Wembley experience gives them a boost, having secured a memorable 4-0 victory against Plymouth in the EFL Trophy final in front of nearly 80,000 supporters last year.
