Brentford boss Thomas Frank has been impressed by Paris Maghoma’s performances on loan at Wanderers this season.
The 22-year-old has scored nine goals in 47 appearances and was named the Whites’ Young Player of the Season last weekend.
Frank noted that Maghoma’s Bolton loan has proven he can be effective as a number eight as well as a holding midfield role.
The Brentford chief didn’t give any clues about the youngster’s future but plans to speak with him at the end of the campaign.
“We have a good midfield and quite a good few players, but no doubt Paris is a player we are following and I like the way he plays,” Frank said during his press conference ahead of Saturday's clash with Everton at Goodison Park.
“He has had a very good season at Bolton and showed that he can also play that high eight. He has got fantastic technical ability and is now also adding goals.
“I like the performances out there and am looking forward to speaking with him when he comes back in after the play-off run.”
Maghoma joined Brentford from Tottenham in January 2020 and signed a new contract with the Bees at the start of 2022.
He spent the first half of last season on loan at Wimbledon in League Two before stepping up a division with MK Dons.
The midfielder has played a key role for the Whites in recent months, forming an effective trio with Josh Sheehan and George Thomason in the middle of the pitch.
Maghoma netted the equaliser against Shrewsbury last week and will be keen to maintain his strong form if the play-offs are required.
