Lostocker Paul Edwards had an amazing run at the Smithy’s Charity Trail Race on Good Friday.
This is a scenic five-mile route around Egerton to raise vital funds for Bolton Hospice.
The race starts at Rainy’s, in Deakins Park, and then heads along Delph Brook Way and Blackburn Road, before looping around Delph Reservoir. Participants then joining Longworth Lane back to the start.
Edwards was the fifth person to cross the finish line in an impressive 37mins 42secs - a fantastic achievement.
On Easter Sunday, Mike Berry and Mark Checkley joined 400 runners to take part in the Horwich Harriers Rivington Pike Race.
This is a gruelling 5k, starting at the bottom of Lever Park Avenue and sees athletes run to the top of the Pike and back down as quickly as they can in a super fast and tough race.
Berry was first across the finish line in a superb 32:00, while Checkley followed in 35:22.
As Horwich Harriers celebrate their centenary this year, all finishers were presented with a commemorative pin badge.
