The son of former Wanderers midfielder Neil Danns scored his first senior goals for Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Jayden Danns bagged a brace in the 3-0 FA Cup victory against Southampton at Anfield as the Reds set up a quarter-final tie against Manchester United.
The youngster’s first goal was a clever finish in front of the Kop after latching onto Harvey Elliott’s pass.
The second came in the final stages, smashing home after Conor Bradley’s initial effort had been saved by Joe Lumley.
It was Danns’ second senior appearance for Liverpool – his first coming in the Carabao Cup final victory against Chelsea at the weekend.
After the final whistle, he told BBC Sport: "I couldn't be happier today. Today is the best day of my life.
"I've watched Liverpool since I was a young boy and to score at the Kop End is more than a dream. I couldn't be happier."
Danns added: "In the Carabao Cup final I had a couple of opportunities to score, so I came into today thinking, 'bury the next one'.
"I couldn't describe it (when the ball hit the net), it is a dream come true. The first thing I thought was to slide on my knees, it was an unbelievable experience."
The 18-year-old attacker also featured in the EFL Trophy group stage against Morecambe earlier this season.
“It is a little bit like the new darts sensation (Luke Littler), it is fine for tonight,” said Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp.
“Tomorrow, leave the boys in the corner. Everyone who is with us, we should have our moments, they will have more moments than we expect.
“Exceptional talent, of course, it is not natural that a boy aged 18 is as calm as you like. The second goal, calm as you like, he saw when Conor shot that the goalie cannot take it.”
