Wanderers return to the Abbey Stadium to take on Cambridge in the first of three successive away games.
The initial fixture earlier this month only saw nine minutes of play before it fell victim to the torrential conditions.
The Whites had to settle for a point at the weekend following a thrilling 3-3 draw against Charlton. Victor Adeboyejo, Paris Maghoma and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson were all on target against the Addicks.
Team news
Jack Iredale may have to play against his former club with a protective headband after suffering a gory injury on Saturday.
The defender was caught by a stray elbow from Chuks Aneke which tore his ear significantly, which required the attention of a plastic surgeon and several stitches.
Skipper Ricardo Santos trained on Monday morning and will be in contention for a place in the squad for the Blackpool trip.
Randell Williams is also set to return to training next week, while Nathan Baxter is due to have the cast removed on his injured wrist next week. George Thomason remains suspended but could return at Bloomfield Road.
Opposition lowdown
Cambridge enter the game in high spirits following a comfortable 4-0 victory at Carlisle thanks to goals from Sullay Kaikai, Elias Kachunga and Liam Bennett, as well as Sam Lavelle’s unfortunate own goal.
Prior to their victory at Brunton Park, the U’s had lost back-to-back league games against Cheltenham and Portsmouth.
Cambridge currently sit 16th in the League One table under Neil Harris, who took charge in December following the departure of long-serving boss Mark Bonner.
Head-to-head
Wanderers have faced Cambridge 19 times in their history, with a record of seven wins, eight draws and four defeats.
The points were shared when the Whites headed to the Abbey Stadium last season following a goalless draw.
Bolton haven’t won any of their last six trips to Cambridge, with their last victory there coming in May 1985.
