WANDERERS (3-4-1-2).
NATHAN BAXTER…8.5.
Some top class goalkeeping, not only to deny Morris from close range, but his calmness under pressure really did spread throughout the defence.
WILL FORRESTER…8.
A performance of real maturity against Luton’s most effective players in attack. Fully deserved to see the VAR decision go his way after defending superbly.
RICARDO SANTOS…7.
Had a wobbly first 10 minutes but recovered well to boss the situation. Won’t come across strikers with the heft of Morris and Adebayo too often, either.
EOIN TOAL…7.
His positioning was first class at times and he mopped up a few things that got in behind Santos early on. Showed positivity on the ball too.
JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…6.5.
Worked tirelessly up and down the right but found some of his attacking instincts checked by Doughty and Bell, who both looked to push forward.
JOSH SHEEHAN…8.
We all know his eye for a pass, but it was his ability to hassle and nick possession which really set him apart at Kenilworth Road. International class.
KYLE DEMPSEY…6.5.
Back in the side for a reason, and that was he offers boundless energy. The decision paid off well, as Dempsey helped win back plenty of possession.
PARIS MAGHOMA…7.
Went closer than anyone in the first half and always looked a threat as he twisted and turned his way past the home defenders. Also put in a real shift.
RANDELL WILLIAMS…7.
Covered well in defence but some of his flicks and tricks caught the eye too. Thought a chance had opened up for him in the second half after cutting in from the left.
VICTOR ADEBOYEJO…8.
Vitally important that the ball stuck with him, and Adeboyejo did not let his side down one bit. Left his mark on a Premier League defence.
DION CHARLES…6.5.
Buzzed around to keep the pressure on Luton’s defenders. On a different day, with a couple of better bounces, things may have opened up for the big chance he was waiting for.
