Bolton boxer Jack Flatley has teamed up with younger brother Kieran to open a new gym in the town.
‘Flatley Brother’s Boxing’ opened this week on Plantation Road, in Edgworth, and will provide boxing classes to anyone wanting to take up the sport or just keep fit.
While 29-year-old Farnworth star Jack is still competing in the ring, and won his most recent outing in November when he stopped Lithuanian Edvinas Puplauskas in the fourth round at Wigan’s Robin Park, the former English champion and European title challenger is also a Level Two qualified England boxing coach.
Meanwhile, Kieran has been coaching since 2018 and gained his professional licence last year having also fought some of the best fighters in the country since he followed Jack’s footsteps into the ring in 2012, aged just 12.
Now the pair want to pass on their combined expertise to others.
Kieran told The Bolton News: “We both decided to set up the gym as we have been around the sport for a long time and want to be able to pass our knowledge down to the next generation of young people and give them a positive environment to be in.
“The gym will provide small classes, including kid’s classes 6-10 years old, 11-16 years old, aspiring amateur classes, adults box fit and female only classes.”
To book in, or find out more details about the gym and what is on offer, people can get in touch on social media @flatley_brothers_boxing_ or contact them on 07743 519446.
