Bristol Rovers are waiting on the fitness of Jack Hunt ahead of their League One clash with Wanderers this weekend.
Hunt, who has made 12 appearances this season, was forced off at half time during the 4-2 win at Crewe in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.
John Marquis, James Wilson and Anthony Evans were all on target at the Mornflake Stadium, as well as an own goal from Ryan Cooney, as the Gas booked their place in the third round.
"It's a groin issue,” manager Matt Taylor told Bristol Live. “I'm so pleased with so much of that performance but then we lost a little bit of our shape and structure with the personnel changes.
“We had to look after Willo (James Wilson) as well to a certain extent. It will be interesting to see how we can turn it around for the weekend."
Taylor experimented with a back three in midweek and felt there were some encouraging signs ahead of their clash with the Whites.
He added: “(I am) pleased. Not pleased that we've probably lost a couple. We're just a little bit stretched in terms of numbers which is strange to say because we're such a big squad.
“Certainly in key positions if we want to play that back-three. So it's going to be interesting to see how that progresses and how that develops over the course of the week but I was pleased with the way it gave us balance.
“It allowed to take the middle of the pitch with an extra body in there and get real legs top end of the pitch."
The 41-year-old took charge at the Memorial Stadium earlier this month, succeeding Joey Barton in the hot seat.
He had been out of work for less than a month after being sacked by Rotherham following a poor run of results.
After the Crewe victory, Taylor explained: “It is not about me, but about the team winning games of football. I am learning about this group of players and the first 70 minutes was really positive.
“Crewe have had good home form, so to be 3-0 up at half-time was excellent. We have now got to work as hard as we did for the first 70 minutes of that game.
“I’ve watched a lot of footage and that is the best I’ve seen from us. We won the ball high up the pitch when we were able to get pressure on the opposition, and we have got players of a certain talent that can put the ball in the back of the net.”
