WANDERERS (3-5-2).
NATHAN BAXTER…6.5.
Did very little wrong on the night and made a couple of decent saves, even if he found it tougher to get things going in possession from the back.
GETHIN JONES…6.5.
A couple of crucial interventions to keep the score down, including one superb clearance off the line. His delivery from wide positions was a bit hit and miss, though.
RICARDO SANTOS…5.5.
Yengi gave him a serious test. You don’t see Santos matched, let alone bettered, by a physical opponent but he came out second best here.
EOIN TOAL…5.
Was glad to see the back of Kamara when he left the field in the second half. Dragged all over the place and struggled to get on top at all.
JOSH DACRES-COGLEY…5.5.
Kept on running but his impact in the final third was minimal. Has had a great season but this was one of the low points.
JOSH SHEEHAN…5.5.
Very quiet night. Had a 20-minute spell where he managed to get on the ball in the first half but his effectiveness dropped right off.
GEORGE THOMASON…5.5.
Tried to get things going and played a couple of clever switch passes in the first half that opened Pompey up, but not everything landed. Lost his runner for the first goal.
PARIS MAGHOMA…5.5.
Had a brief spell where he looked right in the mood, then faded to the fringes of the game. Really needed his inspiration in the second half.
RANDELL WILLIAMS…5.
Picked ahead of Iredale for his attacking instincts but rarely got a chance to do any damage. Not one of his better games.
DION CHARLES…5.5.
Will be seeing that miss in his nightmares for a while. Kept running regardless and you can see him bouncing back again on Saturday.
JON DADI BODVARSSON…6.5.
Held the ball up well for most of the night. Should maybe have scored with a couple of headed chances but his first start since January was a positive.
Subs: Iredale 5, 67 (for Williams), Morley 5, 67 (for Thomason), Dempsey 5, 67 (for Maghoma), Adeboyejo 81 (for Charles), Mendes Gomes 81 (for Dacres-Cogley).

Subs: Whyte 67 (for Kamara), Devlin 81 (for Lane), Saydee 90 (for Yengi), Swanson 90 (for Sparkes) Not used: Schofield, Towler, Martin.
Referee: Paul Howard 6/10 – Was rather inconsistent on what he deemed acceptable physicality and what wasn’t. The ‘foul’ on Randell Williams shortly before the first game was a case in point.
Attendance: 19,052 (742)
