Ian Evatt has been shortlisted for the League One Manager of the Month Award for October.
Wanderers won four out of their five league games last month to climb to third in the table and gain ground on the top two.
October began with a hard-fought 3-2 win against Stevenage, with Dion Charles, Jack Iredale and Josh Sheehan all getting on the scoresheet.
Then came the only defeat of the month, losing 3-1 against Carlisle on a frustrating afternoon against the Cumbrians.
The Whites returned to winning ways against Northampton after the international break thanks to first-half goals from Charles and Randell Williams.
That was followed by an impressive 4-2 victory at Wycombe, which seemed to be heading for a draw before Eoin Toal and Aaron Morley’s late heroics. Paris Maghoma and George Thomason were also on target in the first half as the Whites secured their first ever win at Adams Park.
Evatt’s men wrapped up the month with another win on the road, beating Charlton 2-0 with Williams and Charles again getting on the scoresheet.
The Bolton boss now faces competition from Cheltenham’s Darrell Clarke, Barnsley’s Neill Collins and Portsmouth’s John Mousinho.
Clarke oversaw Cheltenham’s first wins of the season against Cambridge and Port Vale, picking up seven points from five games.
Meanwhile, Collins’ Barnsley side picked up 11 points during an unbeaten October, keeping three clean sheets in the process.
Mousinho had another strong month in the Pompey hot seat, winning four out of their five games and conceding just three goals to maintain their place at the top of the table.
The nominations for the League One Player of the Month prize have also been revealed, but no Wanderers players were shortlisted.
Carlisle’s Jordan Gibson, Wycombe’s Luke Leahy, Charlton’s Alfie May and Portsmouth’s Conor Shaughnessy are all in the running.
The winners will be announced on Friday, November 10 and the judging panel features Danny Wilson, Don Goodman and Ivor Davies.
