Victor Adeboyejo is back available for Saturday’s clash with Carlisle, Ian Evatt has confirmed.

The former Burton man has missed the past three matches after picking up a knee issue in training. He had scored five goals in 10 appearances prior to the injury.

Ricardo Santos, Paris Maghoma and Carlos Mendes Gomes all remain sidelined by injury, while George Johnston is a long-term absentee.

Gethin Jones will not be involved against his former club as he serves the final game of his suspension.

The past few weeks have been demanding on a depleted Bolton squad, but Evatt is hoping for one last push before they can regroup during the international break.

“Tuesday was extremely difficult,” he said. “There are different ways to win football matches and the way they play is very effective.

“It is certainly not what we want to do but, to be fair to Steve, they were very well organised, very good at what they did and put us under immense pressure.

“I was delighted to get three points, I think Stevenage are a good team.”

Carlisle have had a tough start to life back in League One, but Evatt knows Saturday’s fixture will not be easy.

“It starts with a huge away following, they are coming down with a lot of numbers and will want to see their team do well,” he continued.

“That makes things challenging for us, but our fans have been incredible and I’m sure they will be signing at the top of their voices to help us.

“They are a team who probably haven’t picked up the points they have warranted. I have watched them quite a few times now and they have been in most games, the games have been tight.

“They will probably feel like they have left a few points out there so this isn’t going to be an easy game, especially on the back of two physical games for us.

“We have to reset, be energetic again and do what we can to get the three points before we can freshen some people up.”

Wanderers’ recent victories against Port Vale and Stevenage have seen them climb to in the table, and Evatt admits that can come with a “target” on their backs.

“In this division, I think we are seen as one of the biggest and best teams which is credit to us," the manager explained.

“There is a target on our back but if we want to achieve the ambitions we have set ourselves, we have to embrace that challenge.”
