Wanderers’ B Team kick off their pre-season preparations with a trip to Lancaster City on Wednesday night (7pm).
Matt Craddock’s squad will again take part in a mixture of Central League fixtures and hand-picked friendlies against other B Teams and Academies over the coming season.
Wednesday night’s game takes place at the Giant Axe and tickets are priced at £7 for adults, £5 for concessions and £3 for students.
It is the first of three friendlies against local non-league opposition, with trips to Longridge Town and Atherton Colls also coming up later this month.
There could be a few new faces in action following the arrivals of Ben Andreucci, Charlie Hayes-Green and Trevon Bryan from Leeds, Liverpool and Burnley respectively.
Meanwhile, Adam Senior, Connor Stanley, Lynford Sackey, Matt Grivosti and Mackenzie Chapman all departed the club following the conclusion of last season.
Earlier this month, Craddock said: “We want to keep getting things better. There were some really good things and a lot of areas to improve, which we are trying to do in every area.
“I feel we have had added value in every section, and seeing the players again has been really positive because it shows the processes we have improved are having an impact.
“Last year was good because we started from nothing, but I’m really keen to kick on and show what we’ve got.
“We’ve got some really good players. We’ve got some really good staff and I want to make sure that’s reflected in what people see from the outside.
“Sometimes when you get something going you don’t see the fruits of your labour immediately. We’ve had to be quite patient because at times it was challenging, particularly when the squad was stretched when we allowed players to go out on loan.
“But we had some really good performances and results in some of the friendly games against testing opposition, and there is a lot of good stuff going on off the pitch as well.”
