Bury cricketer Danni Collins has signed her first professional contract with Lancashire.
Collins has agreed a deal until the end of the current season, having been a mainstay in the side since 2020.
The 22-year-old batter has made 35 appearances for the Red Rose women, scoring a trio of half-centuries.
Collins has also made 29 appearances for Lancashire Thunder across the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and Charlotte Edwards Cup.
She was an important member of the side that won the regionalised County T20 Cup in 2022 and 2023.
Meanwhile, 17-year-old seamer Mahika Gaur has signed a part-time contract that will run until the end of the 2024 campaign.
David Thorley, regional director of women’s cricket for the North West, said: “We are really pleased to have agreed terms with two young players in Danni and Mahika to sign professionally.
“Danni has been in both the Lancashire Cricket and Thunder systems for a long time now and this contract is just reward for those years of hard work.
“We look forward to seeing her continued development over the course of this season.”
