Wanderers season ticket holders had the best “value for money” in the EFL last season, according to a new study.

It was another season of progress for Ian Evatt’s men, who finished fifth in the League One table before coming up just short against Barnsley in the play-off semi-final.

Betfred have ranked each club in the Championship, League One and League Two based on their cheapest adult season ticket price and performance on the pitch. The latter was simplified by looking at the number of home wins in the league.

The cheapest adult season ticket at Wanderers last summer was priced at £219 during the club’s Early Bird discount. There were also further discounts available for over-65s and under-23s.

The Whites continued their strong home form this season, racking up 14 victories at the UniBol in the league.

These figures put the club at the top of the list with an average cost of £15.64 per victory since the start of the campaign.

Plymouth, who finished top of the League One table after passing the 100-point milestone, also rank highly with a final figure of £17.

Stevenage, Barnsley and Salford complete the top five, with fans paying around the £18-mark per victory over the past season.

Meanwhile, MK Dons find themselves at the bottom of the list after picking up just four home victories in the league. The cheapest adult season ticket available at Stadium MK last summer was priced at £370.

Wigan and Hartlepool are also in the bottom three, having won just five home games each in their respective divisions this term.
