Wanderers are among the early favourites for promotion to the Championship next season.
The Whites finished fifth in the League One table this season, picking up eight more points than the previous campaign.
Derby sit at the top of the list at the time of writing, having narrowly missed out on a top six spot following defeat at Sheffield Wednesday on the final day.
The Rams had their transfer embargo, which had been in place since the summer of 2021, lifted earlier this month.
Peterborough also rank highly, having come up short against Wednesday in the play-off semi-final. Posh led 4-0 after the first leg but were knocked out on penalties following a miraculous comeback at Hillsborough.
Portsmouth and Reading complete the top five at this stage. Pompey showed a significant improvement since John Mousinho took charge in January but ultimately gave themselves too much ground to make up on the top six.
Meanwhile, Reading will be hoping to make an immediate return to the second tier after suffering relegation. The Royals finished 22nd in the table after a difficult campaign, which included a six-point deduction due to issues off the pitch.
Charlton, who are managed by former Bolton defender Dean Holden, have also been tipped to build on their 10th-place finish next term.
Cheltenham are currently considered the least likely team to win promotion, having finished nine points above the drop zone.
It is worth noting that either Wednesday or Barnsley will also be involved in League One next season depending on the result of the play-off final later this month.
