Former Wanderers boss Neil Lennon has been linked with a shock move to Greek giants Olympiakos.

Lennon has been out of management since his departure from Omonia Nicosia last October.

The 51-year-old won the Cypriot Cup in 2022 and came up against the likes of Manchester United and Real Sociedad in the Europa League.

His representatives are due for talks with Olympiakos in the coming days, according to reports in Edinburgh.

The Greek side are searching for a replacement for Michel, who resigned as head coach last month. Jose Anigo is currently in charge on an interim basis.

Olympiakos sit third in the Greek Super League and are on course for a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds. They face a tough trip to fourth-place PAOK on Sunday evening (6pm).

Lennon is said to be interested in a return to management but is also monitoring the situation in England.

Former club Leicester could be looking for a new boss this summer, with Dean Smith in charge until the end of the season.

The Foxes find themselves in the Premier League relegation zone – two points from safety with three games to go. They have matches against Liverpool and Newcastle coming up before hosting West Ham on the final day.

Lennon spent around 18 months in the hot seat at Bolton and helped the club avoid relegation from the Championship in his first season in charge.

He left the club the following year with his side 11 points from safety heading into the business end of the campaign. The announcement was made days after the Sports Shield consortium completed its takeover.

The 51-year-old went on to have a spell at Hibernian before returning to Celtic. His second stint with the Scottish giants lasted two years before heading overseas with Omonia.
