After another eventful campaign in League One, the play-offs are right around the corner.

Wanderers take on Barnsley, with the first leg taking place at the UniBol this weekend.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday and Peterborough will face off in the other semi-final for a chance to get to Wembley.

Here is a summary of what all four managers have said in the build-up to the highly anticipated fixtures

DARREN MOORE

"It will be another tough challenge,” Moore told Yorkshire Live. “I think Darren (Ferguson) has done a wonderful job. When he took over, they were five, six, seven points outside of the play-offs at the time.

"He has brought a consistency and belief and they have got in on the last day of the season, so they have had to keep that belief and mentality going.

“Credit to Darren. The club dropped back from the Championship and he has got them in the play-offs. He has done a tremendous job.

"We remember the game at their place and we had a man sent off. We won the game up here 1-0. When you look at both games, they have been tight.”

MICHAEL DUFF

“We’ll stick to the process, wire in with concentration and intensity. Hopefully we can deliver two performances against a very good team in Bolton,” Duff told The Barnsley Chronicle.

“The performances haven’t been there in the last few games but they have in training. There was a scuffle in training last week which I think is positive. Nothing silly, but it shows the demand they put on each other.

“It’s not like we’ve had our sandals on. The players know if they are not wired in next week we’ll get beat and it’s been a waste of ten months. It’s a tough game but who are you going to play who isn’t tough?”

He added: “We have had three games against them - a win loss and draw. They will probably say they are better team than in January and we definitely are.

“They are a big club, another ex-Premier League club. We are looking forward to it now.”

IAN EVATT

“I think we are in a really good place. This is a good group of players who are extremely confident, but we have to go out there and prove it,” Evatt told The Bolton News.

“A season of 81 points is a very good effort and I know we have left a few out there, but I think most clubs could say the same thing.

“In terms of progression, that is a huge step forwards and now we have to go and prove what we can do in the play-offs. I think we are just coming to the boil at the right time.”

He added: “(The players) have done everything we have asked them to do and come out the other side of it with a win, so now we have that hunger and determination to attack the play-offs.”

DARREN FERGUSON

"It’s going to be a very tough game against Sheffield Wednesday,” Ferguson told Peterborough Today.

“We’ll be ready for it, we’ll be prepared. (The Barnsley win) will stand them in good stead because in a sense it was a cup final.

"To get to the play-offs means nothing at the end of your career though. I’ve finished seventh in this league twice and I’ve got three promotions. I want another one.

"We will enjoy it but we will get them back in to recover ahead of what will be two very tough games. Now we’ve got there, we want to make sure we get to Wembley.”
