CONOR Bradley cleaned up at Wanderers end of season dinner by winning THREE top prizes on the night.

The Liverpool loanee was voted Player of the Year by supporters and also took the Players’ Player of the Year trophy too.

To cap it off, he also shared the Young Player of the Year award with goalkeeper James Trafford on a night where supporters celebrated the club’s achievements, including qualifying for the League One play-offs the same day.

At just 19, Northern Ireland international Bradley has played 58 games for club and country this season, scoring seven times. And after collecting so many trophies on the night, the big concern was whether he had a big enough mantlepiece on which to display them!

“I might have to make a new one,” he joked. “It has been a terrific night, one I have really enjoyed and it is a pleasure to win the awards.

“When I came here at the start of the season I wanted to give it my all and see where that took me. It has been a pretty good season, to be fair, but we are not finished yet and we will go on to the play-offs now and see where it takes us.”

Wanderers clinched a top six spot with a 2-0 win against Fleetwood and will now face Bristol Rovers on the final weekend of the season needing only to confirm their play-off opposition.

Either Barnsley or Sheffield Wednesday await in a fortnight’s time and Bradley is pleased to have wrapped up a spot with a weekend to spare.

“It was a good performance, professional,” he said. “We just needed the win and thankfully Peterborough dropped points, so play-off secured. We’re looking forward to them and we’ll see what happens now.”

Trafford kept his 21st clean sheet in the league – but now holds the club record for shut-outs across all competitions in a single season with 26.

The Manchester City star has graduated to the England Under-21s set up during his two stints with the Whites and become a huge favourite with the supporters.

“I have got massive gratitude to the manager and the staff for putting their faith in me when nobody else was really willing to do that. I hope I have repaid that,” he told The Bolton News.

“The loan has helped me as a goalkeeper and a person, massively, and given me a great platform and catapult to my future.”

Wanderers gave out a number of other awards on the night – with the 4-0 victory against Plymouth Argyle at Wembley unsurprisingly winning best team performance.

Aaron Morley won Goal of the Season with a stunning free-kick against Charlton Athletic, admitting that he did not know the ball had gone in for several seconds.

“There was no noise from the fans – and I thought it had hit the post and bounced out!” he added.

Dion Charles picked up the Top Goalscorer award after becoming the first Bolton player since Michael Ricketts in 2001 to score 20 goals in a season.

“I came here to score goals,” he said. “But I wouldn’t have got nearly as many if it hadn’t been for my team-mates creating chances.”

Defender Gethin Jones was recognised for his work in the community, and supporters Steven James and Tracy Hobson also won prizes for their tireless efforts off the pitch.
