Wanderers are back on the road when they make the trip to the Kassam Stadium to take on struggling Oxford.
Ian Evatt’s men were held to a 1-1 draw against Cambridge in their last outing after Sam Smith’s equaliser at the death.
The Whites remain in the play-off places but are only above seventh-place Derby on goal difference at this stage.
Team news
Wanderers are down to the bare bones ahead of Saturday’s fixture. Ricardo Santos and Eoin Toal were already sidelined after picking up injuries during the win against Plymouth at Wembley.
Evatt has now revealed that a couple other unnamed players are dealing with injury problems heading into the final run-in.
As for the hosts, James Henry and Sam Baldock will both be out of action for the remainder of the campaign.
Henry hasn’t featured since suffering a hamstring injury against Derby last month, while Baldock’s last appearance came against Bristol Rovers in February.
Opposition lowdown
Former MK Dons chief Liam Manning took charge at Oxford last month following the departure of long-serving boss Karl Robinson.
The U’s find themselves 20th in the table – two points above the drop zone heading into the business end of the campaign.
Manning’s side were held to a goalless draw against Port Vale in their last outing and are now without a win in their last 14 matches – a run stretching back to January 21.
Head-to-head
Wanderers have faced Oxford 27 times in their history, with a record of 11 wins, eight draws and eight defeats.
Evatt’s men were beaten 3-1 when the sides met at the UniBol back in October despite Dion Charles’ second half strike.
The Whites ran out 3-2 winners on their last trip to the Kassam Stadium in February 2022, with Amadou Bakayoko scoring a dramatic late winner.
