Wanderers were held to a 1-1 draw against relegation threatened Cambridge at the UniBol after Sam Smith’s late equaliser.
The Whites went ahead through Declan John, who fired home after George Johnston’s header was saved by Dimitar Mitov.
But Smith rescued a point for the visitors at the death, guiding a header past James Trafford after getting on the end of Jack Lankester’s free kick.
Here is what Bolton supporters said about the game on social media
Beyond frustrating to let a win slip away like that. Need a response on Saturday #bwfc https://t.co/tPFeh0lByu

No complaints for me, we were well off it today - awful 1st half and just a bit better in the 2nd. #bwfc

Luckily Derby dropped points too. It's still in our hands but the squad rotation needs to be managed a lot better. #bwfc

Don’t think it’s wrong to say the result is on Evatt today- made the wrong choices in the lineup, too many changes it what was always going to be a hard game against a team fighting for their lives. All wrong today, need to rectify it against Oxford and Burton #bwfc

More than ample opportunity to make that 2-0. Different game if we take one #bwfc

Overall a poor performance, nullified for the first 45 mins. Improved after the subs, but couldn’t put the game to bed. Fair result unfortunately #bwfc
