Wanderers will be backed by a bumper crowd at the UniBol when they continue their League One campaign against Cambridge.
Ian Evatt’s men will be eager to build on Friday’s 1-0 win at Exeter as they aim to keep building momentum in the race for a play-off spot.
The Whites currently sit fifth in the table but are only above Peterborough and Derby on goal difference at this stage.
Team news
Evatt is prepared to make changes following a big physical effort against the Grecians only a matter of days ago.
Eoin Toal is likely to miss the remainder of the campaign after suffering an ankle injury during the Papa Johns Trophy final at Wembley.
Skipper Ricardo Santos was also absent from the squad after picking up a thigh problem and could be out for up to four weeks.
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Jack Iredale are both long-term absentees with ankle and knee issues respectively.
Opposition lowdown
Cambridge recorded an important 2-1 win against Fleetwood at the Abbey Stadium last time out, with Jack Lankester and Sam Smith getting on the scoresheet either side of half time.
Mark Bonner’s side also won on their last away trip, beating Port Vale 2-0 thanks to goals from Smith and Lloyd Jones.
The U’s find themselves 22nd in the table – three points from safety as they fight to protect their League One status.
Head-to-head
Wanderers have faced Cambridge 18 times in their history, with a record of seven wins, seven draws and four defeats.
The points were shared when the sides met earlier in the season, with Evatt’s men fishing the game with 10 men after Kyle Dempsey was shown a second yellow card.
The Whites’ last win in the fixture came in February 2022 when Amadou Bakayoko and Dapo Afolayan were both on target at the UniBol.
