Former Wanderers favourite Kevin Davies surprised a local fan with tickets for the Papa Johns Trophy final against Plymouth.
Jordan Hookway works as a community coach at Bolton Wanderers in the Community and has provided disability football sessions.
Over the last 12 months, he has faced a serious illness which resulted in him having his bowel removed but recently returned to work.
As a reward for his continued efforts and dedication to helping the local community, as well as overcoming the challenges he has faced over the past year, the EFL arranged for Jordan to receive two tickets for the final on Sunday.
He will also get to go on a tour of the stadium prior to kick-off against the Pilgrims this weekend.
Davies, who made more than 400 appearances during a memorable 10-year spell with the Whites, surprised Jordan with the news at one of his disability coaching sessions at the Bolton Arena.
"It is magical. To be honest, I am speechless," said the community coach. "He was one of my idols growing up as a kid and I was never expecting him to rock up on a Monday night!"
Sunday’s game is set to be quite the occasion, with more than 70,000 tickets already sold between both sets of supporters.
Ian Evatt’s men reached the final following a memorable 2-0 win against Accrington thanks to goals from Elias Kachunga and Aaron Morley.
Wanderers also overcame Barrow, Manchester United Under-21s and Portsmouth in the knockout rounds after finishing top of Group B.
Meanwhile, Plymouth beat Cheltenham on penalties in the semi-final following a 1-1 draw at Home Park.
The points were shared when Bolton faced the Pilgrims at the UniBol earlier this year following a goalless draw.
Evatt’s men were beaten 2-0 at Home Park back in August after goals from Niall Ennis and Ryan Hardie.
