An under-11 boys’ hockey team from the Junior Boys’ School of Bolton School has won the Lancashire round of England Hockey’s In2Hockey tournament.
The 10-man team found themselves up against Kirkham Grammar, Ashbridge, Sedbergh and AKS Lytham, where the games were held.
And the Bolton side won all but one of their matches, conceding only one goal along the way.
The boys will now represent Lancashire as they progress to the regional final after Easter.
That tournament will feature teams such as King’s Chester, Sedbergh and The Ryleys School from Alderley Edge.
Next year’s Lancashire tournament will be held on the all-weather hockey pitches at Bolton School.
