Wanderers will be aiming to return to winning ways when they make the short trip to Morecambe on Saturday afternoon.
Ian Evatt’s men suffered a 3-1 defeat at Portsmouth on Tuesday night despite going ahead through Dion Charles.
The Whites remain fourth in the League One table but are now just two points above Derby, who have a couple of games in hand.
Team news
Wanderers are waiting on the results of a scan to determine the extent of Victor Adeboyejo’s injury.
The forward limped off against Port Vale last weekend and did not feature against Portsmouth in midweek.
Meanwhile, Cameron Jerome is making progress after missing the last few matches due to a back issue.
Saturday’s game may come too soon for the experienced forward, but Evatt is confident he will be back for Ipswich next weekend.
Morecambe are racing to get Cole Stockton fit in time for the fixture, with the striker absent from the squad last time out.
Opposition lowdown
Morecambe enter the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Fleetwood last weekend after Carlos Mendes Gomes’ first-half strike.
The Shrimps currently sit 20th in the table – only above the relegation zone on goal difference at this stage.
The club has also faced issues off the pitch this season, and manager Derek Adams has called on the ownership to sort out a proposed takeover in order to bring much-needed investment to the first team.
Head-to-head
Wanderers have only faced Morecambe five times in their history and are yet to lose in the fixture, with a record of two wins and three draws.
The Whites recorded a 1-0 victory when the sides met at the UniBol back in August, with Conor Bradley getting the decisive goal six minutes before the break.
Evatt’s men drew 1-1 on their last trip to the Mazuma Stadium, with Amadou Bakayoko scoring a dramatic late equaliser after Ricardo Santos had been sent off.
