A boxing gym where Tommy Fury trained before his fight with YouTube star Jake Paul has congratulated the younger Fury on a long-awaited win.
Tommy and Jake long-awaited bout finally come to a resolution with the famous YouTuber losing his first match to the brother of WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.
The fight took place in Saudi Arabia and saw the likes of former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and footballer Cristiano Ronaldo in attendance.
Crowds cheered to see Tommy get into the ring and ended what he said ‘consumed’ his life for the last two years.
Tommy had been training almost every day at a Bolton gym – Elite Thai Boxing in Halliwell.
A spokesman for Elite Boxing posted a congratulatory message on Instagram: “After two years of ups and downs, Tommy has just gone and beat @jakepaul who most people wrote him off against.
“The passion and determination never stopped him achieving what he set out to do, no matter how many people said he couldn’t do it.”
Elite Boxing Gym has been pivotal in training Tommy with Bolton’s own boxers getting in the ring with the ex-Love Island star to spar with him.
One judge scored the fight 75-74 to Paul, but two other judges scored it 76-73 to Fury, crowning him the winner.
Tommy dedicated the win to his new-born baby girl Bambi, who he shares with influencer Molly Mae Hague.
The much-anticipated fight even led Bolton’s retired boxer Amir Khan to ask his fans if he should come out of retirement for exhibition boxing.

He asked fans: “Been asked to do exhibition boxing fights, what do you think?
“It’s the new thing in now, retired fighters and influencers asking me to get back in the ring. What are your thoughts?”
The comments appeared divided as some fans told Amir that his legacy was still intact without the exhibition bouts while others seemed excited at the prospect of seeing him back doing what he loves.
Tommy and Jake have already agreed to a re-match but time will tell if this goes ahead.
