Wanderers weren’t at their best but managed to grind out a 2-1 victory against Port Vale at the UniBol.
The visitors went in front through Ellis Harrison inside the opening 10 minutes, but Victor Adeboyejo got the Whites back on level terms.
Josh Sheehan scored the winner with a pinpoint strike from outside the box, with James Trafford also making a couple of important stops at the other end.
Here is what Bolton supporters said about the game on social media
We were second best for most of that game today, definitely a hangover from Wednesday I think. Still 3 points is 3 points. #BWFC

Big 3 points, not at our best today and fair play to PV, they gave us a hell of a test today. On to an even bigger test on Tuesday

We’ve played a lot better than that and lost this season, so I’m buzzing with the 3 points. Vale will feel hard done by. Thought they were the better team for large portions. #bwfc

That Trafford save at 2-1 by the way. We don’t win if that doesn’t happen #bwfc
