Wanderers make the long journey to Adams Park to take on promotion rivals Wycombe this weekend.

The Whites have won their last five matches and are building momentum in the promotion race.

Ian Evatt’s men ran out 5-0 winners against MK Dons on Tuesday night, with Ricardo Santos, Luke Mbete, Gethin Jones, Eoin Toal and Randell Williams all getting on the scoresheet.

Team news

Conor Bradley and Cameron Jerome are both available for selection after recovering from minor back issues.

Southampton loanee Dan Nlundulu is also set to return to training next week following a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.

George Thomason returned to the bench against MK Dons and could feature for the B Team to build up his sharpness.

George Johnston and MJ Williams remain sidelined, while Jack Iredale and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson are long-term absentees.

As for the hosts, defender Jordan Willis was forced off at Accrington but Ainsworth says he was simply suffering with cramp.

Opposition lowdown

Wycombe have won their last four matches as they aim to climb into the League One play-off places.

Gareth Ainsworth’s men recorded a 2-0 victory at Accrington in midweek after goals from Josh Scowen and Garath McClear either side of half time.

The Chairboys currently sit three points behind sixth-place Barnsley, although they have played an extra game.

Head-to-head

Wanderers have faced Wycombe five times in their history, with a record of one win and four defeats.

The Whites recorded a 3-0 victory when the sides met at the University of Bolton Stadium back in August, with Kyle Dempsey bagging a brace and Aaron Morley also on target.

Evatt’s men were beaten 1-0 on their last trip to Adams Park in November 2021, with Sam Vokes getting the decisive goal that day.
