Ricardo Santos, Gethin Jones and Declan John have all been named in the latest League One Team of the Week.
Santos was on target during the emphatic 5-0 victory against MK Dons at the University of Bolton Stadium last night – the skipper’s third goal in his last two matches.
Jones also managed to get on the scoresheet and has impressed in the wing-back role while Conor Bradley has been unavailable due to suspension.
John provided a couple of assists against the Dons and also went close with a clever free kick during the first half.
Meanwhile, Ian Evatt is named as the manager of the week after guiding Wanderers to third in the table.
Elsewhere, Bristol Rovers’ Ellery Balcombe is included in goal after keeping a clean sheet in the goalless draw against promotion contenders Ipswich.
Charlton’s Sean Clare, Ipswich’s Cameron Burgess and Peterborough’s Nathanael Ogbeta also make the defence.
Wycombe’s Josh Scowen and former Bolton midfielder Luca Connell have also been selected – the latter scored a stunning strike in Barnsley’s 3-1 win at Port Vale.
Sheffield Wednesday’s Josh Windass and Cambridge’s Joe Ironside are both named in attack, having scored three goals between them in midweek.
The team is decided based on ratings from whoscored.com, which are determined based on a wide range of in-game statistics.
Wanderers have now won their five successive league matches as they aim to keep the pressure on the top two.
But the Whites’ fixture list isn’t about to get any easier, with a trip to seventh-place Wycombe coming up this weekend.
League One Team of the Week: Balcombe, Clare, Santos, Burgess, Ogbeta, Jones, Connell, Scowen, John, Ironside, Windass. Manager: Evatt
