Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson is anticipating a tough test at the weekend despite Wanderers’ injury list.
Ian Evatt will be without eight members of his first-team squad for the trip to London Road, including the likes of Conor Bradley and George Johnston.
But Ferguson says the Whites have “a strong squad” and insists his side will need to be at their best if they are to extend their winning streak and take a step closer to the League One play-off places.
He told the club’s website: “Bolton are a very good team. I have seen them a couple of times when I was having a break.
“I have obviously watched recent games. I think it is going to be a really good game of football.
“They have done a fair bit of business in January. They have got some injuries which every club picks up.
“They have got a strong squad. They are having a very, very good season. It is going to be a good game, one I am looking forward to.
“There will be a good atmosphere, two good footballing teams. We will be ready and we have got to make sure that we stay consistent with the results and more importantly the performances.”
The Peterborough boss also confirmed that midfielder Jack Taylor will be available despite picking up an ankle injury last weekend.
“He is a very good player,” added Ferguson. “For me, Jack is at his best when he keeps everything simple and doesn’t complicate his game. That is what we have been speaking about and that is what we have tried to work on.
“He is playing very well at the moment. He is a key part of the team and he gives all the things that you want from a midfielder.
“It helps that I played that position as a player so I know the position he is playing in. It is just about keep improving the players individually and as a group.”
Wanderers earned a late 1-0 victory when the sides met at the University of Bolton Stadium back in September. Dapo Afolayan got the decisive goal with the help of a deflection that wrong-footed Lucas Bergstrom.
The Whites were beaten 1-0 on their last trip to London Road in December 2019, with Ivan Toney on target that day.
