Wanderers youngster Conor Carty has joined League of Ireland side St Patrick’s Athletic on loan until the end of November.
Carty has impressed for the B Team this season and scored on his first-team debut against Tranmere in the Papa Johns Trophy.
The 20-year-old has also had stints in the National League with Oldham and Gateshead in recent months.
He will now play alongside former Bolton duo Harry Brockbank and Eoin Doyle. The latter has served as an unofficial scout for the Whites on the Emerald Isle since his departure from the University of Bolton Stadium 12 months ago.
Tim Clancy’s side kick off the new season with a home fixture against Derry City on Friday, February 17 (7.45pm).
Speaking about Carty last week, Matt Craddock said: “He has done really well. Obviously, he has had a couple of loans where he has had to experience men’s football, which is something he didn’t get an opportunity to do at Wolves, so that was part of his development this year.
“Conor has got some real talent and potential, and what he has to do is develop that physical side to his game – pressing and showing real aggression and intensity when we haven’t got the ball.”
Meanwhile, Connor Stanley has returned to Bamber Bridge on a month-long loan deal.
Stanley had a stint at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium earlier this season and has also spent time at FC United of Manchester.
Team-mate Luke Hutchinson is also on loan at Bamber Bridge and was sent off during the Lancashire FA Trophy win against St Helens on Tuesday night.
The 21-year-old midfielder has played an important role in the Central League and bagged a brace against Wrexham Reserves, scoring directly from corners for both goals.
B Team skipper Adam Senior is currently on loan at Halifax Town, while Max Conway is at National League North outfit Buxton.
